Is Dinner Time a Hassle?

ItA healthy alternative to eating out certainly can be at times especially when  it is so difficult to get children to eat one vegetable let alone 5 in any one day when you are striving for healthy kids.  Fruit isn't such a problem but vegies certainly are.  What if I told you that there are ways around this and I have a couple of excellent tools or books that you will love.  The Healthy Eating for Kids is a really good book that gives lots of useful recipes and ideas to help you to achieve the healthiest eating a child could have – and without them even knowing.  We all understand the old adage of "Bribery and Corruption"?  This comes in very handy with children when they struggle to eat their vegies.  Of course sweets are off the agenda but then that creates negativity which rarely works because then they become stubborn.  Meal times should be fun so to make it a little more tempting, it is a great idea to have a sweet treat they will love and will also be nourishing.

Who loves Smoothies?

Refreshing nourishing smoothies that kids loveI don't think there is any child around who doesn't love smoothies – I know mine do – and so do I.  Could you ever imagine a child having 5 of more vegies a day?  Certainly not mine!  You will feel excited when you see how easy it is to overcome the difficulty of kids having their 5 x 3 a day nutritional fruit and vegie allowance.  Include these great smoothies in your kids diet and see how much healthier they are.

What do you know about Fruit and Vegies?

I was looking for some information on Avocardos and found this great site with anything and everything you could possibly want to know about fruit and vegies.  It is the Sydney Markets site and if you click on About Us there is a list of other Australian Markets you can go to.  There are activities for kids, seasonal information and so much more.  Do have a look and add it to your Favourites folder – show it to your kids so they can get involved too.  Remember kids diets are so important for growing healthy bodies and minds.
